When planning a wedding, every detail counts, and guest transportation is one of the topics that raises the most questions..

Between the different locations of the day, the time constraints, the safety of loved ones, or the desire to offer a smooth and elegant experience, the bride and groom quickly find themselves facing many questions.

Should we hire a coach or a minivan with a driver? How many vehicles will we need? How do we manage guests coming from far away? Where do we park a bus in front of the town hall or the estate? What are the costs, possible schedules, safety standards, and available options (comfort seats, air conditioning, late-night transport, etc.)?

These questions are entirely legitimate: transportation is a key element in the smooth running of a wedding and contributes to the serenity, comfort and even the overall image of your event.

The client or principal will be held responsible for non-compliance with the regulations (Decree No. 92.699 of July 23, 1992), since he is required to ensure that driving times are strictly adhered to. Any violation may be prosecuted under the "PENAL" law, and in the event of an inspection, any exceeding of the time limit may result in the vehicle being impounded on the spot.

💡 Is the coach equipped with seats for babies or toddlers?

In France, the legislation regarding the use of child or baby seats on buses depends primarily on the bus category and the child's age. Here are the main rules to know:

  1. Category M2 and M3 buses: For buses in categories M2 (buses with more than 9 seats, including the driver) and M3 (buses with more than 22 seats, including the driver), special child seats are not mandatory. Children can travel in regular seats, but it is recommended that they be secured with a seat belt appropriate for their size.
  2. Category M1 buses: For category M1 buses (buses with between 9 and 22 seats, including the driver), children under 3 years old must be seated in a child seat appropriate for their weight and height. These seats must be approved according to European standard ECE R44/03 or ECE R44/04.

It is important to note that these rules apply to public transport buses, but may vary slightly depending on local regulations or the specific policies of each transport company. It is therefore recommended to check with the specific transport company for the precise rules regarding the use of child or infant seats on buses.

💡 Can I bring pets on the coach?

Pet policies on coaches can vary depending on the rental agency and local regulations. Here are some points to consider:

  • Pets allowed: Some coach rental companies may allow pets on board, but they may have restrictions regarding size, weight, or type of animal. It is important to check with the rental company to confirm whether pets are allowed and what the specific conditions are.
  • Rules and regulations: Even if pets are allowed, there may be rules and regulations to follow. These may include the need to keep the animal on a leash or in a suitable carrier during travel, providing up-to-date vaccination records, or paying additional fees for pets.
  • Assistance animals: Assistance animals, such as guide dogs for the blind, are generally permitted on board coaches in accordance with disability rights laws. However, it is recommended to check with the rental agency or coach company to see if any additional documentation is required to travel with an assistance animal.

It is important to note that even if pets are allowed on board the coach, they must be well-trained, clean, and not disturb other passengers. It is also recommended to make arrangements for the pet's needs during the journey, such as breaks for bathroom breaks.

Please contact the rental agency or coach company directly for specific information regarding their pet policy. They will be able to provide detailed information and answer your specific questions.
