FRANCEBUS Transport Charter

Preamble

This Transport Charter aims to define the rules of conduct, safety, and mutual respect applicable to all transport services provided by FRANCEBUS. It applies to all Clients and Passengers from the moment the Quote is validated and throughout the duration of the service.

It aims to guarantee a quality service, respectful of safety, comfort and civility standards, in the interest of all parties.

1. General Obligations of the Client and Passengers

• Arrive at the agreed time and place.

• Follow the instructions of the driver and the escort, if applicable.

• Adopt respectful behavior towards FRANCEBUS staff, other passengers and third parties.

• Do not disturb public order, safety or tranquility on board vehicles.

• Respect the property provided (vehicle, seats, equipment).

• No smoking, alcohol or drugs in vehicles.

• Do not intentionally damage or soil the interior or exterior of the vehicle.

• Fasten their seat belts when the vehicle is equipped with them.

• Comply with current legislation, particularly regarding the transport of children and luggage.

2. Luggage

• Luggage must be tagged and placed in the designated locations (hold or trunk).

• Valuables (jewelry, electronic devices, documents) remain the responsibility of the Passenger and must not be left unattended in vehicles.

• Luggage must not contain dangerous, flammable, explosive or prohibited materials.

3. Safety and comfort

FRANCEBUS is committed to:

• Provide vehicles that are regularly maintained, cleaned and comply with regulations.

• Assign to the Service a professional driver, trained and holding the required permits.

• Respect the driver's driving and rest times.

• To provide transport under optimal safety conditions.

The Client agrees not to:

• Disturbing or distracting the driver while driving.

• Requiring maneuvers or routes that could compromise safety.

• Exceeding the number of seats allowed.

4. Legal provisions relating to driving and rest times

For your safety and comfort, we kindly ask you to take note of the following legal provisions:

Drivers of public transport vehicles are subject to French and European (EEC) regulations, in particular decree no. 92-699 of 23 July 1992, which sets out the following rules:

• Daily time frame: 12 hours maximum.

The working day span refers to the time elapsed between the start and end of the workday. A rest period of at least 8 consecutive hours must precede any new working day span.

• Daily driving time: maximum 9 hours, which can be increased to 10 hours twice a week.

• Continuous driving time: A driver cannot drive for more than 4 hours and 30 minutes without a break.

• Mandatory driving breaks: A 45-minute break is mandatory after each continuous driving period of 4 hours 30 minutes. This break can be split (e.g., 3 times 15 minutes), provided that no stop is less than 15 minutes.

• Daily rest:

– A minimum of 11 consecutive hours if the rest period is taken at home,

– A minimum of 9 hours if taken outdoors,

– Possibility of splitting the rest: a period of 8 consecutive hours + 4 hours taken in increments of at least 1 hour (total: 12 hours).

⚠️ Important: The Client is responsible for complying with these obligations. Failure to comply or any other violation may result in criminal penalties for the Client, including vehicle impoundment during a traffic stop. Therefore, the Client is required to design their program in strict accordance with these safety regulations.

5. Behavior in case of a problem or dispute

• The driver may interrupt the service or refuse access on board if safety or the proper functioning of the service is compromised.

• A report will be sent to FRANCEBUS Customer Service.

• Cleaning or restoration fees may be charged to the Client in accordance with the Price List.

6. Adherence to schedules and modifications

• Departure and return times must be respected. Any delay by the Client or Passengers may result in additional charges.

• Any request to change the schedule or route must be made within the time limits stipulated in the General Terms and Conditions and confirmed by FRANCEBUS.

7. Animals and bulky items

• Animals are not allowed on board, except for assistance dogs.

• The transport of bicycles, strollers, bulky instruments or sports equipment must be reported in advance.

8. Penalties for non-compliance

• Refusal to perform all or part of the Service without reimbursement.

• The billing of additional fees.

• A temporary or permanent exclusion from FRANCEBUS services.

9. Acceptance

The Client acknowledges having read this Transport Charter, attached to the Quote and the General Terms and Conditions, and undertakes to respect it and to ensure that it is respected by the Passengers he appoints.
